Guy has been an Accredited Exercise Physiologist since 2008 working within research and clinic to challenge the paradigms regarding robust exercise for gerontology, frailty, sarcopenia, and chronic diseases. Guy is similarly passionate about evolving and expanding the skillset of the Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology students to prepare them for the workforce by increasing their knowledge and practical skillsets and seeking evidence based and gold standard treatment of gerontology such as chronic disease, especially within vulnerable older populations. Guy’s passion and knowledge consist of running long-term progressive exercise interventions for older adults with multiple co morbidities.

Furthermore, Guy is an academic in the Discipline of Exercise and Sport Science in the Faculty of Medicine and Health at the University of Sydney. While accomplishing these roles, Guy completed his PhD in exercise, health, and performance, investigated functional adaptations to resistance training for older adults by analysing the influence of genetic variation, health status and physical characteristics.
